Polariscope Dual Illuminator

This instrument will help you identify single or double refracting gemstones and distinguish between many genuine gemstones and their simulants. Includes polarising filter and gemstone tweezers. It has transmitted illumination for the polariscope and side illumination that can be used as a light source for refractometers.

A polarised loupe helps in examining substances in polarised light to obtain or determine the stress in glass and other substances. It is simply one of the tools that analyses the light that passes through the gemstone. The Polariscope can not be used to test opaque or assembled stones.

In Gemology, it helps to obtain the optical properties of transparent to translucent gem materials. Which means it can identify if a stone has singly refractive, doubly refractive or is an aggregate. Some stones split the light, and some do not, which gives them their unique property and easy to identify through their light refraction property.
